In Florida Fields | Shannon's Senior Shoot

Shannon is one of the sweetest people in all of Florida. If you have the privilege of being friends with her, you know how true that is. She is such an encouragement to my soul and I love spending time with her; we are definitely heart sisters and kindred spirits. I always enjoy Shannon's company, whether we're properly sipping tea together or running our hearts out at the park playing volleyball and Ultimate Frisbee! Shannon radiates joy- and not just any kind of joy. Her joy comes from the Lord and it shows! It leapt straight from her sparkling blue eyes and contagious smile into my camera. Shannon and I had way too much fun together during her shoot, so I ended up with quite a few photos to share with you! Probably too many- but that's okay. We traipsed all around Princess Place Preserve until it closed for the evening. Then we found ourselves in a field of Phlox. The field was more like a ditch on the side of the interstate, but you'd never know what surrounded our little flower patch unless you were there with us! Shannon's mother and brother waited so patiently and watched us from across the road in their minivan. The late afternoon light was so lovely and brought out the gold in Shannon's hair. The Phlox flower petals were numerous shades of pink and purple, accented with a bright white. At one point, a school bus full of kids drove by on their way to a gas station, yelling out phrases like, "You're beautiful!" Poor Shannon. That was after I decided to make her a crown of Phlox flowers for her gorgeous curls. She was such a great sport, though. We simply ignored the passing rabble and pretended that we were normal people. ;) You can see what her face looked like at the time in the fourth to last picture. It was priceless. So without further ado, here are my favorite moments from Shannon's senior shoot.
Congratulations on graduating, Shannon! May the Lord guide your steps as you walk the narrow way, and may He bless your future endeavors. I am so thankful for your friendship, dear girl. May the Lord bless and keep you always.

And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths."
